Sustainable Projects provides a facility of open-source conditions in which sustainable hypotheses, resilience research, and action experiments are performed in open collaborative partnerships for exponential impact on projects that count.
Introducing our latest Collaboratory experiment…
The Sustainable Fashion Collaboratory is working on a variety of projects that create awareness about sustainable and ethical fashion in New Zealand.
Projects in the Collaboratory seek to:
provide consumers and industry with the (accurate) information they are seeking on sustainable fashion
engage all levels of the fashion community from fashion students, emerging designers, established brands, retailers, buyers, producers, manufacturers, industry experts and fashion media in an on-going conversation about sustainable and ethical fashion choices
be daring, bold and ambitious, not shying away from the ‘tough stuff’
draw attention to legitimate certification and the true language of sustainable fashion, introducing the concepts of slow and fast fashion, traceability and Fairtrade, for example
be truly collaborative in approach creating rich co-created outcomes for maximum richness and diversity
be an empowering experience for all involved
ultimately be a platform for making a positive change in NZ’s fashion landscape
Projects currently being explored in our open-source lab:
Sustainable Fashion Pop-Up Exhibition
Bringing an established sustainable and ethical fashion rating app for consumers to New Zealand (check it out and be kept up-to-date here)
Injecting more positive stories into the mainstream media about sustainable and ethical fashion
We are always actively seeking collaborators, supporters and funding opportunities.
We would love to hear from you if you want to support our projects in anyway.
